Located in Destin, this lovely house for $700 per night is a great choice for your next trip. 6 Bedroom, 4.5 bath, private pool, beach access home which sleeps up to 16 people. House is the dunes of Destin sub division. Three story house which has over 4500 sq. feet of interior space. Each story has a balcony with a view of the gulf of Mexico. There is a private beach access boardwalk approx. 50 yards away. At the private pool you can barbeque sunbathe, and enjoy outside lounging. Two car garages provide ample parking along with parking in 2 driveways. Dunes of Destin is a gated community for private access. 1st Floor Two car garage and space in driveway for two more cars. Downstairs living area with queen bedroom large bath bunk room and hallway to pool access. The property seems to have foundation issues. Floor bows in kitchen and top floor bathroom. Its a nice place, just a little updating would be nice. Biggest complaint was the roaches. Owner did have someone spray asap but still disappointing. House is a small walk from beach, which is wonderful!

Great size home for our family vacation. Just felt the home was a bit beat up and not maintained well. Main bath shower handle broken off- maint tech stopped to check it stating yep not sure how he’d fix that? What??? Just needed some everyday maint such as light bulbs out everywhere, weeds at pool… but all and all nice vacation.

Very nice property! Very spacious living space in this home! Lots of bed spaces! Very close to the beach access and close to all restaurants and entertainment in Destine. Family of 16 had a wonderful time in Destine!

Clean home with lots of room. Good communication for check in process and minor issues that did not impact our stay. Contact responded to issue quickly even when it wasn’t necessary. Would stay again!

Property was exceptionally clean upon arrival. Pool area was great to have. Easy walk to a beautiful beach. Only caution: LOTS of steep stairs. We had a few elderly in the group who had some difficulty navigating, but they all had a great time regardless.

We loved the property and the support we received from the property management. Beach access was wonderful and the home is fairly well maintained. Overall the house is very nice. However, some small items like broken blinds, dresser drawer knobs that fall off and need replacement and excessive furniture wear /tear (upstairs desk chair cushion torn) were our only discrepancies. My only really negative comment comes regarding the back yard and gas grill. The back yard landscaping, patio area, and patio furniture need cleaning. The bottom of the gas grill is completely rusted out and only half of the burners work, making it very difficult to use.
Overall, we had a great time and our family of 12 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a great location and we plan on coming back.

There were only a few issues we could think of.
- a lot of the mattresses were very uncomfortable. No one got great sleep all week.
- most sheets didn’t stay on the beds after they were slept in.
- kitchen could use a few more things like new pots, pans, etc.

Our stay was excellent!
The home is very large & accommodated our entire family nicely giving us plenty of room for being all together or getting away on your own. The best part was the private beach....the included umbrella & 2 loungers was a real plus & we paid for another set for the week. Was worried about the walk to the beach but it was closer than expected & so ez! On either size of us beach was sooo crowded I would have went crazy...don't know how they kept our area so private...but they did!! Gated community, private pool & correspondence with John helped make this an outstanding trip!!

This property was very nice but could use some updating at the property. We had 8 adults stay and we had plenty of room and space to spread out. The location was fantastic with private beach access. The owner was very responsive to any issues that we had and took care of things right away. I would recommend and would stay again.

This is the perfect vacation home for our group. Large open concept main space to accommodate us all for meals and games, and lots of balconies to avoid feeling like we’re on top of each other. Very nicely appointed and the location can’t be beat. Will be back next year!

We had an awesome week
Thank you for a wonderful time! We communicated with John frequently, as the house had a small amount of wind damage occur during a storm during our stay. John responded quickly and made sure that repairs would not interfere with our plans. If schedules work out next year, we will be back!

The prior group had ripped a railing off a stairwell and this was repaired a few days later which is good but also inconvenient to have a repair person coming by during your vacation. There are some nice extras: sand toys, outdoor shower and extra refrigerator. On the downside: the downstairs shower does not get hot water and the TV in the master only gets a fuzzy picture. No access to heated pool or hot tub which is a consideration in March. Overall a 7.5 out of 10.

Overall we had a great time. The communication with the property manager was excellent. Very quick with his responses. Location and walk to the beach was good. The house could have been a little cleaner and there we couldn’t find any kitchen towels. So, you may want to take your own.

This is the third time we have rented this house. Between the quality of the house and the amazing beach you have access to, this is a hard place to beat. The house is very spacious and is well stocked with everything you need. If you want to relax and spend time on the beach this is the place to go.

Every goofy question I asked was answered immediately, no matter what time of day. The property was perfectly clean..and I say that as a former sales manager of a large commercial cleaning company. January Pilgrimage
So four senior couples from north Mississippi decided to spend a week in mid-January 2020 in Destin. We were all very familiar with Destin having spent many summer vacations in the 70's through early 90''s there on summer vacations. Once our children were grown, however, we stopped those trips in part because of the crowds flocking there in the summer.
The eight of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this 6 bedroom 3 level house known as Katrina. The pictures and written information provided adequately describe the property. It is in a gated community and perfectly secure. The property is centrally located in Destin and within a short walk to the beach.
Property Manager John Glick and local representative Linda were always a text or email away. They never failed to respond to our questions. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the home upon arrival and had no issues in this regard. The house has a gas log fireplace which was put to good use during our stay as the weather initially was cool.
With two enclosed garages and two driveways there was sufficient space for our four vehicles. The neighborhood was quiet even though somewhat busy with remodeling underway on our street.
We all remembered the crowded conditions in Destin in those many summers we visited years ago. This trip was quite different. Even though there was still traffic it was manageable and we rarely had to wait over a few minutes at restaurants regardless of the time of day. We all enjoyed a visit to the Destin Fishing and History Museum on this trip. If you haven't been, it is worth seeing. We played golf twice and again the time of year made tee times much easier to obtain.
Overall, we decided that the trip was well worth our while and we hope to return next winter. We recommend giving this property a try.
