About this cabin rental
Located in Lamoine, this charming cabin for $200 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Sweet log cabin retreat nestled in the woods, next to a brook with views of Raccoon Cove. The cabin is surrounded by perennial gardens and a short path through the garden and woods brings you to the shore of the cove with beautiful views of Frenchman Bay and the mountains of Acadia. The cabin has an open kitchen, living room, and dining area with sliding doors to a large deck that overlook the gardens and a view of the cove. The 1st floor bath has a walk-in slate shower and a washer/dryer combo. The bedroom is located in the 2nd floor loft and has a comfy queen bed. High speed WIFI is available. Heat is provided by an enamel Hearthstone gas stove with a glass door for ambiance and viewing pleasure. Perfect for couples, 2 friends and singles in need of a quiet, meditative retreat, artist or writing studio or seeking adventures in Acadia National Park and the beautiful surrounding area. AREA DETAILS: The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood on Raccoon Cove. Marlboro Beach is 1 mile away and Lamoine Beach is 4 miles away and both have beautiful views to the mountains of Acadia. Acadia National Park is the crown jewel of this area and is just 15 miles away offering wonderful hiking, biking, beach combing, rock climbing and bird watching. Caution!! Please view pictures of ladder stairs accessing the loft bedroom! These are steep and must only be used facing the ladder. If attempting to use not facing the ladder, severe injury could occur. Please consider before booking!

My husband and I booked this cabin for part of our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip. The host did such a great job of communicating with me early on and arranging an easy check in. There was a storm during our stay and when the power went out he reached out to make sure we were OK. I highly recommend booking this cabin (just be sure you are good to climb ladders). Fantastic place!

Great little place for 2 in peaceful surroundings. No neighbors or noise. Ideal location between Mt. Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula if you plan to do both. Would stay again in a return visit.

Lovely cabin in the woods that is very peaceful and quiet. The drive to Acadia and other points of interest isn’t too far so that you feel like you’re spending more time in the car than at the destination. Even though the weather wasn’t great, I still had a lovely time. The welcome basket from Glen was a nice touch. Was without Wi-Fi for about 2 days d/t the Hurricane and barely missed it. Pretended I was Thoreau and did some writing and musing. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Lovely little cabin and just what we needed! The ladder access to upstairs loft/bed was just a little bit steeper than we thought it would be, however, still a wonderful spot!

Great little place to stay. We spent 4 nights here and it was exactly what we were looking for. Great for those who spend most of the day out. We cooked breakfast every morning but like others said, it's not made for lots more. Enjoyed opening all the windows; and was pleasantly surprised at the small AC unit for the humid rainy day we got.
Enjoyed being "out of the way" from the touristy areas and had 3 wonderful meals in Ellsworth.

The location was great it was exactly what we were looking for, the property owner was welcoming and very straight forward. I wish we could have stayed longer and the sign inside the cabin is worth mentioning it made me feel even more at ease.

Great little cabin for two! Very quiet and serene…the sounds of the forrest and brook surround you and it was very nice after a long day hiking, biking and Kayaking. Kayaking out of Lamoine state park into the east side of Acadia was so nice. We met a few seals and found some deserted islands to explore and eat lunch on:). Thank you Glen for making our stay easy at your cabin! So cute!

The cabin was cute and well stocked, and the property was charming. Checkin could have been simplified and some surfaces could have used a scrub (I tried to clean the fridge handle with what was available, but it needed more), but overall the property was lovely, the host sent thorough directions, and even left some pancake mix for us.

We really enjoyed staying in this cabin. The bed was super comfy, the firepit was really nice and the kitchen had what we needed - a coffee maker and a microwave. Cooking any serious meals here would be a challenge, but that's not why you stay here. You stay here for the beauty and serenity.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor but not stay in the town and deal with the noise and traffic. The few minute drive out of the island to Lamoine was worth the quiet and isolated vibe we got staying here. Beautiful view out back of raccoon cove and super cozy inside. Glen was great to deal with and overall our experience was pretty much perfect. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a quiet getaway.

After spending a few days in Bar Harbor we were ready for a quieter pace. The cabin was so relaxing and QUIET! We were gone most days hiking and exploring Acadia National Park, and the cabin was a nice place to recharge. Glen met us at check in and gave us some good info for the surrounding area. We appreciated the local coffee/breakfast welcoming gifts! If you have time, make a stop at Marlboro Beach, just a mile away, and definitely Schoodic Peninsula (part of Acadia National Park) about 45 minute drive near Winter Harbor. Some nice “less crowded” hikes and nice restaurant options nearby.
This trip will always be very memorable.

My husband and I enjoyed our fall trip to Maine. Beautiful cabin nestled in the woods. Leaves we in full color and a short wall along the creek to over look the water. We saw deer right out the kitchen window. Very quite and peaceful. Would recommend to anyone coming to the area.

We stayed at the cabin for a week. The location was great for all of the things we wanted to do! It was reasonably close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The cabin was very cozy and the gas fireplace/stove was perfect after spending fall days outside. Would definitely recommend this cabin!

Be aware, there is a ladder to the sleeping loft, which was no problem for us, but could be for some.

What a beautiful, peaceful setting. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. The short walk through the woods reveals a stunning view of the water, perfect for birding or just enjoying the peace and quiet. We highly recommend this cabin.

My fiance & I had a great stay at this cabin. It is just thing retreat we needed for our Bar Harbor vacation. They have clearly put in effort making this cabin comfortable for their guests and the short walk to the beach area is a great touch.
I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet get away to the Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park area.

The cabin was perfect, had everything we needed for our getaway! Super cozy and very clean. Glen was easy to get ahold of for the few questions we had, very appreciative of that! Check out the pamphlets on the book shelf we went to a couple places as we are from Iowa and had never been to Maine and we would never have probably went to those places if we didn’t see those! The views were so pretty and a nice little spot to sit right on the water! It was the perfect getaway and we plan to come again because it was just that perfect!!

This log cabin is nestled in a lovely forest, just a short walk from the bay. Quiet, private location but close to local highlights.
Before renting, be sure you are comfortable climbing a ladder to get upstairs to the loft!
