Tokatoka Resort Hotel

Very helpful n friendly staff from reception to cleaners . Restaurant staff are very very helpful specially in the morning when we were going for breakfast every day that Indian lady who ran the bar she was too good. Well done to the manager who look after them very well and they look after visitors very well . I asked for the shower gel which one they use and they wrote it so nicely to me . Thank you very much whoever done that. Well done I will come back every time I’m in Fiji.

No negative comments there’s nothing to say. I didn’t like.

Location was convenient to get to and from the airport. The pool and kids area were very nice and relaxing to enjoy. Buffet breakfast was good but would have liked a few more options in the cereal bar for kids (only weetbix and muesli). Beds were comfortable and shower had good pressure and hot water.

We were 4 adults and a 2yr old who sleeps in the bed with us, they wouldn’t allow us to book the 1bedroom villa for all as they said we exceeded the number of people for that room, told them the 2yr old sleeps in the same bed and they would still not allow it so we had to book another room for the other 2 adults costing us more. No complimentary water. Asked the staff if it was okay for my 2 year old to drink the tap water, they said get bottled water just incase and had to pay $6-10 per bottle. No shops in walking distance to get cheaper water. But there was a kettle in the room to boil water. Lunch and dinner menus are very limited and can only order at certain times making your options even less and would have to get an overpriced sugar cab to outside restaurants and cafe’s. Apart from the airport and hospital nothing else is within walking distance. Booked this place for the kids pool and slide but the depth of the water by the slide is 1.5m deep which was too deep for me to take my 2yr old on with me (I’m 1.54) so couldn’t use it and only Taller adults or kids who can swim could go on it. Other hotel pools with a slide have a depth of 1.2m which is better for me.

The restaurant:The meals were overprized for the quality One day the restaurant took ONE HOUR AND FORTY minutes to serve us dinner. No apology was made - and we were not informed of the delay. Extremely dissapointing Worse - given the location of the resort - we couldnt just leave!
