The surroundings are picturesque. The hotel has stopped in time and has many original features hence 'historic'.
The hotel seems to stop at 8.00pm. There is an additional charge for arriving after 8.00pm and the bar/food close at 8.00pm. There is no shops or restaurants in the village except for a cafe which is open in the morning. Any other food or bars are about 10 min away by car.
