Friendly & welcoming owner and staff. Very clean room. Balcony with lovely view of the garden, forest and beautiful mountains. Breakfast that started at 7:30am which was great as you often need to start early to get parking spots. The free buffet breakfast did not serve any hot cooked breakfast, but I believe that was available as an extra paid option. However the free buffet had everything, that I wanted: coffee, tea, fruit juice, fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereal, toast, cakes, rolls, cheeses, cold meats, etc.
The hotel has a lovely authentic and tasteful interior decor with carved wood panelling, etc.
It had ample on site parking and a pizzeria across the road and an excellent walking/outdoor equipment shop two doors down, which saved the day, as I needed new walking boots.
It also has a sauna and plunge pool, which is available as an extra paid option.
The tourist tax is included in the room rate, which was good, as all the other places I stayed, it was extra and you had to pay that in cash on arrival.
It is about a 10 mins drive from the Malga Ciapela cable car, if you want to go to the top of the Marmolada, which I would highly recommend. Also you can do a lovely walk from Malga Ciapela to Malga Ombretta and Rifugio Falier. You can also do a nice walk from the Il Cirmolo hotel to Malga Ciapela through the woods if you didn't want to take the car, which takes about 90 mins.
It is also only about a 35 mins drive to Passo Falzarego, which has so many stunning mountains and walks in the surrounding area, plus lots of very interesting historical WW1, tunnels, trenches, museums, etc.
I really enjoyed my stay at Il Cirmolo and would definitely recommend it.
It would be great if breakfast could start at 7am so that it was possible to make an even earlier start, for days when you were travelling a bit further, with like a 60 min drive.
Apart from the Pizzeria across the road, if you want to eat out in the evening, it is a 25-30 min walk, so you really need to take your car. I tended to try to eat in the Rifugio's whilst I was out walking as the quality of food was often excellent and at a decent price, (usually slightly cheaper than UK prices).

The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of options. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Everything. It is in a quiet place, 3-4 km away to get Marmolada glecier cable car, good breakfast, very helpfull host.
We’ll come back for sure
