Enjoyable stay. Good atmosphere with a nice restaurant which is used by the locals - always a good sign. Friendly and helpful staff.

Jackie, our host, was just perfect. Made or visit. Stayed Sunday so it was roasts (or salmon) for dinner. Don't usually eat roasts when dining elsewhere (my wife's set my standard!) but glad I did. Delicious roast pork and such large portions too. Lovely pub in a quiet village just off the M6 and A69. Ample parking, good beer selection and a great barmaid (can I still use that word?) in Jackie. Will definitely stay again!
The room was adequate, size wise, and the shower in our room was a little cramped but as it was just an overnight stop for us it was ok.

Location was further than stated
Breakfast was minimal, staff very casually dressed
Room - ok except the bath / shower facilities . Couldn't keep water in the bath, shower very substandard.
Heavy traffic thundering passed early in the morning.
Carpets old on stairs, lounge furniture crammed in the lounge area.
