Das Personal war sehr herzlich und um uns vom Einchecken an sehr bemüht. Wir erhielten ein kostenloses Zimmerupgrade angeboten, ueber das wir uns sehr freuten. Die Zimmer waren luxuriös ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Das Bett war groß und sehr bequem. Das Hotel liegt sehr nahe an der Panda-Station (kurze Taxifahrt). Alles TOP!

The hotel is in a great location for anyone wanting to visit the panda reserve, about 5 mins away in a didi. We most loved the buffet breakfast and dinner. Both were fantastic with loads of mainly traditional food, our boys aged 11 and 8, thought the concept of buffet and the fact that they love the food meant they rated the hotel as almost their favourite on our trip. Our room was spacious and fairly clean, the view was beautiful and we enjoyed spying on the weddings taking place in the grounds and jogging around the perimeter.
Smoking is still allowed in the hotel, not on all floors - but you can smell it everywhere.
The outside pool was closed - which was a disappointment to us as it was one of the main reasons we booked.
The inside pool is a bit tired, not so clean, the older men spitting mucus on the side did not really help with this.

Buitenterrein was nog niet open. Zwembad en strandje niet open. Geen lobby waar je ff gezellig kon nazitten en drankje bestellen. In de omgeving weinig reuring

We have stayed here many years ago and chose it again as it is close to the Panda base which is important as it opens 7.30am. The breakfast started at 6.30am & had a very good variety of choices, with Panda themed decorations & foods. We also tried the Chinese restaurant which was good. Unfortunately we didn't get time to try the outdoor or indoor pool.
The Air conditioning for our standard room 1609 was not working, we called reception and 2 workers came to check the AC which they confirmed wasn't working. So we had to move rooms (in our PJs, bathrobes) almost before midnight. The staff came to give us a another key which we checked first the room AC was working. They did not offer to help us move our belongings or apologise. They shouldn't assign any such room to guests if no AC, especially during the hot summer. They should have helped us move & upgraded us to a better level of room. The hotel is getting old, there is wear & tear on the furnishings. The water pressure for the shower & toilet was not strong enough. I ended up using the bath as it had better water pressure on the shower head. We had a late lunch at the main Cafe, mine was ok but the English descriptions don't necessarily match what you get. It said Guacamole & Veges on a bagel but I got plain avocado, some veges & cold meat. My husband's fish meal was too spicy and it took a long time to get a bowl of rice (which had to be cooked fresh). The stir fried Vege dish was not so good either. They did give us a free drink & ice block afterwards. There are no nearby food options so we are limited to the hotel unless get a taxi somewhere.
