When you book an APA hotel you already know what you get. This was no exception: all the usual amenities, overall good service and prime location. I have stayed at about 9-10 different APAs across Japan and this one was among the best. I find normally the bigger the better.
Very close to station and all other key spots in Sendai. Large supermarket called CO-OP 3-4 min walk away very handy and convenience store within the hotel.
Great view from my room on the 20th floor.
A gigantic hotel with over 1000 rooms with such a small breakfast place, at peak times there was a queue. Also they advertise a spa but it’s only a bath.

As expected from APA Hotel, the room was well equipped with sufficient amenities, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was nice overall, and there are many pillows.
What I liked most was the control panel built into the bed. There’s a convenient one-touch “Oyasumi” button that turns off all the lights at once.
One downside was the air-conditioning system. During winter, it cannot be set to cooling mode; only heating or turning it off is available. Since I usually prefer using the cool mode even in winter, this was inconvenient for me.
