Nice small locally run hotel in Old Paphos. I had a room with a small balcony and a beautiful view of Paphos and the sea. I enjoyed the sunsets!

I was extremely happy to revisit the expanded Axiothea hotel which was a family destination in my childhood in the late '70s. My room was upgraded at reception and I had a fantastic view. The owner Mr Andreas was most welcoming. The kindness and service of staff was exemplary and non intrusive. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious and healthy, and felt homemade. The bed mattress and pillow were most comfortable, linen and towels changed regularly, room airconditioning worked extremely well (the outside weather was ferociously hot and humid during my stay and this was a big bonus) and there was peace and no noise in the room corridors and in the room (very rare in hotels). I always had a parking lot at the hotel private parking. I traveled around and the hotel was an excellent base which could not be better located. The price was very good for what I enjoyed. Overall: I was super pleased and I am thankful for the experience. I highly recommend this hotel. Bravo Axiothea Hotel!
There was nothing I did not like. I was not looking for a luxury, mass tourism "plastic" experience. I was looking for something genuine, comfortable and human and this is what I got. The room infrastructure is not luxury but functional and needs constant maintenance and care (which is normal) but it is respectable.
