The property was beautiful, and the room was very comfortable and nice. It preserved that colonial feel, but with the modern comforts. They even provided a baby bath for us, a baby bed (though not AAP-compliant, but all good because we brought our own), and they had changing tables set up in many of the restrooms throughout the property. They had ramps and elevators for strollers too, which was all a very nice touch. It truly felt like they had thought of just about everything to accommodate families with babies and small kids. It seems like a great place to go for kids activities and horseback riding, if you're going for the resort experience and less for the rustic farm experience, the latter being more our style.
On their website, they advertise it as a fazenda (farm) with farm-to-table food and plantation-fresh coffee, though neither ended up being the case. This place was more of a resort and less of an operating farm today. They had a mini coffee field to make it look like it's still a coffee farm, but they served really low-grade coffee, and the food was buffet-style and not farm-fresh. When you're staying somewhere that's out there, the food is definitely a very important part of the experience, especially at this price point. I feel like they should have been a bit more clear and up-front about the actual experience they're offering. Some of the staff were a bit less helpful, while many were very helpful and friendly, kind of a mixed bag.
