Really lovely colonial style building with some great historical prices of furniture.
The apartments had no lift and it was difficult to access the roof pool when you have mobility issues. However, do recognise that the hotel is currently installing a lift to the roof terrace.

Location is great. Hotel decoration is super nice, cool roof top.
On description there is no mention of alcohol not allowed on premises. I choose the place to be my last day in Zanzibar, I wanted get a wine to see sunset on roof top BUT not allowed. Also I rented the apartment (annex) and on description it didn’t explain that the annex was literally OUT of the hotel, in another building with no security. I pay 100euros expecting to enjoy the hotel common area, easy moving to swimming pool etc, extremely expensive for what they offer, with mould smell (I have asthma and start breath badly in the room). I got really upset staying there.
I was asked if I wanted a take away breakfast, since I was leaving early to airport, I accepted, but on the check out it was not ready, they didn’t even know I requested it. They offered to prepare, but my taxi was there already.
The food in the restaurant is not really good too. I got a lobster and it taste was weird. Also got a traditional food and beef was suuuuper hard. It was just money wasted.
