Actually got what I paid for and then some. Usually, 'central and cheap' means you're sleeping in a noisy closet, but this place was clean, quiet, and right next to the thermal baths. Easy parking, too. If you’re looking for a solid stay without the luxury tax, this is it.

Lovely little location down a back alley right near the centre of town, and a convenient walk to both the bus and train stations (we used both). Pretty comfortable and had most of what we needed. There's a pub down below but being winter with snow and minus temps (off-season?) obviously no one was out there enjoying a pint. I can't speak to how well insulated from sound it would be when busier/in summer, but we heard no noise from outside the panzio. Rather...
Be warned: there is zero soundproofing in the room upstairs (numbers 8&9; can't speak for other rooms). I was lucky I got SOME sleep on New Year's Eve as we had an early train next day, but even the night before a resident was singing loudly (in the shower?) which disturbed my sleep briefly after hours. For NYE, I had to contact the owner who got some residents having a VERY LOUD house party to quieten down after the enforceable 10pm silence rule, by around 10.30pm. They went out to celebrate, and still made noise coming back well after midnight. I appreciate that for guesthouse-owners it can be hard to get people to quieten down during celebratory events, but be aware coming in that if you're a light sleeper, early-to-bedder, or need silence to get to sleep, you may well not get these things if you stay here. (Suggestion for future: strictly enforce no parties allowed in rooms. Also, either heavily soundproof the top rooms (8&9, and perhaps others if they suffer from the same issues) or alert guests to the paper-thin walls that let virtually every noise through that this won't suit people who are easily disturbed by noise.)

The room had a strong smell of perfume/room perfume, this made the sleep uncomfortable. My husband is allergic to chemical smells and he had
a migraine. The parking is difficult to find.
