Located in Patonga, this charming house for $287 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. A near-new residence in an attractive, peaceful native bush setting at the edge of the national park and short walk to beach, ocean pool, restaurant, local store, tennis courts and waterfall - spacious open-plan living opens to a furnished all-weather deck with BBQ; air conditioned and fully equipped kitchen, quality comfortable furnishing and appliances with an emphasis on simplicity and comfort - sleeps a maximum of six, two queen beds, two singles and full size cot. Lots to do for kids - bring bikes, boards and tennis rackets - a well stocked bookshelf, board games and DVDs for varying ages and tastes - family dog is welcome providing s/he is house trained and of a size and temperament that poses no threat to local wildlife. Cats and other pets are not permitted. Smart TV, NBN, Wi Fi - beds made up prior to arrival - basic kitchen ingredients, tea coffee etc are included. Upon request, specific groceries can be provided prior to arrival. Teen parties and indoor smoking are not an option for this property, nor is it available for noisy groups, parties or functions of any sort. There is no back garden. This single level home includes: BED LINEN, BATH TOWELS & BASIC PANTRY & CLEANING NECESSITIES. BEDS MADE UP PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. - Three bedrooms: two with queen beds, one with two singles and baby cot; - A modern, fully equipped kitchen with electric cooking, microwave & dishwasher; - Open plan living and dining seating six; comfortable modern furniture, smart TV (65”) DVD & NBN, Wi Fi included. - Covered furnished deck with BBQ; - One (child friendly) bathroom and front loader washing machine; - Cot, high chair, baby bath, block out bedroom blinds; - Air conditioning, ceiling fans, insect screens; and - Off-street parking. Rates, bookings and payment - are only accepted via the Stayz/VRBO site. If your booking request is accepted, you will be emailed a link requesting the deposit payment using credit / debit card through the secure Stayz website. A 20% deposit secures your booking and is payable within three days of confirming your booking. The balance of payment will automatically be withdrawn from the same credit / debit card 28 days prior to your stay. A cleaning fee may apply. Please note that booking dates can be changed if necessary, depending on availability and notice. Bookings in December, January and during school holidays are accepted for a minimum of 7 nights and three nights minimum stay applies at other times.

This property is in a quiet location just a short 400 metre flat walk to the beach where there is a clean public toilet, café and a restaurant. Large rooms, wide hallway and high ceilings gives a luxurious airy feeling. Well-appointed apartment with all you need for a relaxing holiday. Well stocked kitchen with appliances, utensils and consumables such as gladwrap and garbage bags. Outside is a large shaded timber deck with table and chairs and an outside shower to wash the sand off in a leafy garden setting. A ten-minute drive back to Umina for supermarkets and clubs and pubs for a dinner out.

The property is in a quiet location. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. A great outlook from a comfortable deck with lots of birds. It is a very easy walk to the lovely beach.

Clean, functional property, easy walk to the beach. Great communication with the owners. A great place to stay with kids and dogs. Beach has a large dog friendly section. Local cafe does a delicious hamburger!

Just perfect size and facilities for our family of four. Location was excellent short 5 min walk to the beach. Easy drive to shops and other beaches at Umina and Ettalong. Great attention to detail at the property, very clean and excellent communication.

This is a comfortable, open plan house with a covered deck perfect for enjoying a cuppa whilst watching the birds visit the banksia tree. We had everything we needed. With the beach a comfortable walk for kids, small surf and a pool, we were all set. I highly recommend Banksia Cottage

We had a lovely stay in a Pearl Beach for our 4 month olds first holiday. The fact this property had a cot was gold for us. There was a baby bath which was great as there is only a shower in the bathroom. Ceiling fans keep it nice and cool. Good sized rooms, kitchen and living area. Only small complaint is that the blinds are not blackout as advertised and the walls are very thin- my husband could here me opening the fridge while putting Bub to sleep in the babies room. But overall we loved it and Amanda was fantastic in her communication with us.

Amanda has provided a lovely home suitable for a blissful getaway, beautifully appointed, and in very short walking distance from both delightful bushwalks to surprising and awe-inspiring natural environments (the dogs took me on adventures to find waterfalls, caves and swimming holes) and to the broad, sunshiny beach and the foreshore swimming pool, which is overlooked by the fabulous lunch spots of both the Cafe and General Store and Pearls. The lovely touches like the wine, cheese and biscuits to settle in on arrival, coffee, tea and milk for the morning, as well as the little extras like spices, olive oil, and other pantry items to help inspire culinary efforts were greatly appreciated, as was the amazingly well-curated video library, which included some lesser-known but brilliant Australian cinema. The paintings on the walls reflect the natural beauty of the setting in the bush next to the beach, and the front deck is truly a delightful spot to relax, unwind and have a BBQ whilst listening to the wildlife and birdcalls. This was a very happy find for my dogs and myself, and the provision of dog bowls and bed is a very kind and thoughtful touch. Whilst I did not travel with children, I can see clearly that this would be a wonderful spot to bring one's family, as the children's room is beautiful and welcoming, and there is a great boardgame collection as well as plenty of books and videos for them as well (when they are tired out from all the fun at the beach, or it is too rainy to go out). I recommend Banksia Cottage wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway to both the bush and the beach in one day.

We enjoyed our stay at 34 Amethyst Ave. Well situated at the end of a quiet street with easy access to bush walks and Cremmelin Reserve and a short pleasant walk for morning coffee and the beach. The house is comfortable and easy to keep clean; it had just about everything required for an enjoyable holiday, whatever the weather. However, the amount of cutlery and dishes was a bit limited, which required either running the dishwasher a lot or more hand washing than necessary. Amanda provided quick and helpful responses to any questions we had about the property. Much appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at Amanda's house. We have a 10-month old baby and the house was perfect for kids. It is absolutely spotless and is so well stocked, we felt very much at home. The beautiful beach is 5 minutes walk.

This cottage is beautifully set-up for a family getaway. Great care and thought has gone into making it child-friendly with books and DVDs and games. We found it spacious and clean. Incredibly welcoming, our host made the cottage availalable earlier in the day than required for us and provided some groceries like bread and milk for us, which was unexpected but very much appreciated. The location is at the bush end of pearl beach, quiet and peaceful with close access to fire trails and a short walk to aboretum. We would definitely come here again. Thankyou.

The house has everything you need - Amanda hasn't missed a thing! It was also extremely comfortable and clean. Great location - we did a short bushwalk up to a waterfall and the kids loved it.
