Dar Eva is a traditional Moroccan house with a central courtyard and two rooftop terraces, located in the historic Upper Tala'a district of Fes Medina. The house offers easy access to the souks, markets, restaurants and main sights, while providing a quiet retreat.

Lalla Loubna, our English-speaking governess, looks after the house and guests. She comes in the morning when needed to prepare breakfast on request**, attend to the house and help make your stay in the Medina easy and enjoyable.

THE SPACE
The house is 2,160 sq ft, built on three levels around a marble-paved central courtyard with an old fountain.

~ Two double ensuite bedrooms and one twin ensuite bedroom, with a bathtub in the master bedroom
~ Reversible air-conditioning in all three bedrooms, with fans and additional heating available
~ Two double beds (63 x 79 inches) and two single beds (35 x 79 inches)
~ Traditional Moroccan lounge, dining room with fireplace and 4K TV, reading room and alcove
~ A dedicated office for those who need to work during their stay
~ A well-equipped kitchen
~ Two rooftop terraces with pergolas, table and seating, and deck chairs, surrounded by bougainvillea, jasmine and seasonal flowers. The terraces offer lovely views over the rooftops, the medieval ramparts, Zalagh Hill, with its olive trees, and the 16th-century Fort Borj, illuminated at night

LOCATION
Dar Eva is ideally located for enjoying the Medina, close to the crossroads of two of its main streets, with easy access to many of its key sights:

~ Close to museums, gardens, souks and historic palaces
~ Close to Bab Boujloud, the main gate of the Medina, and its lively area with many restaurants
~ Close to the taxi rank and the guarded public parking at Place Batha
~ The house is tucked away in a quiet alley, yet easy to find your way back to after exploring the Medina.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

~ Washing at home: use of the washing machine, MAD 70. Lalla Loubna takes care of the laundry.
~ Laundry collection and delivery by a local company, including ironing. Charged per item.

• Fireplace:
The fireplace in the dining room can be used upon request. A contribution of MAD 150 towards the cost of firewood is required.

MOROCCAN LAW & TAXES

Our rental rates include:
~ Municipal tourist tax: MAD 10 per person per night
~ 10% VAT (standard VAT rate for the hospitality sector)

Social responsibility:
Lalla Loubna is a registered employee, officially declared to the relevant authorities in Fes. She is covered by Moroccan social security and carries out her duties in accordance with Moroccan law.
