Eveyrthing, staff was so nice breakfast was a banger. It was my first international as well as solo trip and it went very well. Hostel was clean and staff was superb nice. Well definitely stay there again if i go to brussels. Also it is at the best possible spot in Ghent everything is walking distance.

Building facing water which is good
Only stairs no lifts and need to remove bed sheets and bring it down, not easy to do carrying all together with your luggage with only stairs

The location was unbeatable as was the view. The staff was very kind as well. We appreciated the low-cost lockers so we could leave our stuff before check-in and go explore the city!
The bathrooms and shower room could have been cleaner, also the sheets had small stains on them. The noise with Gentsefeesten going on was a bit loud, but we knew this beforehand and the location more than compensated for that.

Just the location… staff was great too
Small room.. simple hostel.. i was bitten by an insect in my face and hand.. no idea which insect was it. My Finger was pretty swollen. Overpriced for what you get. I understand the location in great but ridiculously overpriced. I Wont stay again.
