Parfait pour finir un séjour en bord d'océan

L'hôtel fasse à l'océan indien pour prendre les repas et les petits déjeuners. La restauration de très bonne qualité et le personnel très gentil. La piscine naturelle d'eau de mer très appréciable. Les petits écureuils qui nous accompagnent pendant les petits-déjeuners ;.)

Leider ein Flop

Gute Lage, Manager hat die Beschwerden ernst genommen und versucht für Besserung zu sorgen. Bei der vorzeitigen Abreise hat man mir den zweiten - bereits gebuchten - Tag nicht in Rechnung gestellt.

Wie bereits in einigen anderen Bewertungen beschrieben haben die Bilder mit dem tatsächlichen Zustand der Unterkunft nichts mehr gemeinsam. Mein erstes Zimmer (Eckzimmer mit Meerblickupgrade) hatte Flecken auf dem Bettlaken, der Kühlschrank hat viel Wasser abgegeben so dass der Boden schon nach kurzer Zeit komplett nass war. Allgemein war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und die Sauberkeit des Hotels sehr schlecht. Nach einem Gespräch mit dem Manager wechselte ich das Zimmer und war zunächst zufrieden. Im Laufe des Abends stellte sich jedoch heraus dass ich Geckos im (nicht außen das ist man ja gewoehnt) Zimmer hatte. Grund hierfür: die Bettschraenke, Sessel und das Bad waren voller Ameisen und sonstigem für mich undefinierbarem Ungeziefer so dass ich am nächsten Tag direkt wieder das Hotel verlassen habe. Bei dem Verlassen des Hotels habe ich mitbekommen, dass andere Hotelgäste die Polizei gerufen hatten, da ihnen Schmuck aus dem abgeschlossenen Zimmer gestohlen wurde. Ob dies zutrifft oder nicht kann ich nicht beurteilen, aber ich wollte es aufjeden Fall nicht herausfinden.

Very good

The location is Amazing. It has a really nice pool which anyone can enjoy without hesitation.

The arrangement of food though. the Breakfast was so late due to some technical issue. But it wad delicious though.

Didnt find the staff as service minded as in rest of Sri Lanka. No one was rude or even close to rude but a little lack of smiles and welcome juice

Beautiful views

We Had to pay additional charge for a sea facing room. It was a nice place. Unique pool joining the sea and lots of crabs about. Lovely sunset views. Had drinks like teas ( very nice tea and breakfast) and cocktails ( if there’s a bit more alcohol was mostly ice in some drinks ) but very lovely beach and the property was lovely.

Too much ice in cocktails but still nice.

Good hotel

Ok for the price category. In front of the sea with beautiful surroundings. We can have good lunch or dinner here. Staff is nice.

We found hair from the previous guests in the bed. 15 min by walk from city and not many restaurants around (but you can eat at the hotel directly)

Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is good. Good option for three friends in the room.

Room (number 104) was in a terrible state and seemed not cleaned. It doesn't match the photos on Booking.

Superb place near the ocean with clean, AC-d rooms and beautiful roof top view

I think almost the best place to stay in Matara(Madiha). The hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly. THe breakfasts were really good and big. The hotel having a roof top, where you can see the ocean and the sunset, which were super beautiful. They having a natural pool with ocean water and some sunbeds, which were really great too. The rooms were really okay, and the bed was quite big. They having a generator so the power cuts where not anoying since the electricity came back soon after a cut. AC where in the room, which is a big advantage in hot weather. The bathroom was okay too and clean. (Dont forget to close the room windows around night time, since gekkos coming in :D)

The staff, the room and the food were all good but sadly let down by poor housekeeping.

Breakfast was very good and well presented. Staff were friendly. Views across the sea were amazing

The housekeeping. We were asked every day if we wanted our room cleaned but it didn’t happen. In particular we asked for the bin to be emptied - again it didn’t happen so we put it outside the door and still had to ask again. Clean towels were promised but didn’t appear. It felt like nobody cared about our room or replenishing things such as teabags and toilet rolls. We had to keep asking.

An amazing peaceful location right on the beach, 10 minutes walk from the turtles at Polhena beach and 10 minutes walk to the lively Doctors House should you want a night out

Beutiful view and good location.

Good location, kind staff, the view and the garden was beautiful.

The restaurant is a bit overpriced. There were some ants in the bathroom and lot of dogs around the beach.

OK hotel in Matara, but expensive for what it is

The room they initially gave us was not the one of the pictures and was not confortable at all, but they solve the problem right away. They were very kind to pack us something to eat for the early wake up to watch whales. In general the staff were very helpful and kind.

The location is OK but is a very expensive place to what they offer.

nice beach next door , good location, good food

very slow service, some staff don’t seem interested, room not cleaned at all on 1st night, no toilet paper in communal toilet or soap to wash hands , dogs barking at night but this is common in Sri Lanka and probably not hotels fault

Comfy rooms by the ocean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were quite clean.
