Fantastic welcome breakfast hamper which had a lovely selection of goodies that did us breakfast for a few days! Beautiful area, stunning views in a peaceful rural location yet accessible for travel and sightseeing.
Cabin is immaculate, everything you need cooking wise, cosy log burner and really comfy beds.
Outside area was amazing, enclosed spacious garden which was perfect for our two dogs. Seating areas front and back so you can follow the sun! The hot tub was lush, checked daily and the perfect place to watch the sun go down with a liquid refreshment! The outdoor wood fired heater/barbecue grill is an excellent piece of kit and produced the best flavour for our steaks enjoyed with a delicious dressed lobster from The lobster shop, Johnshaven!
A big thank you to our lovely host Lorna! Appreciated her local knowledge and recommendations for walks from the doorstep.
You can tell how much love and hard work has gone into the cabin just a fantastic place x

The view from the house is stunning. It's very peaceful . The garden area is fantastic, huge house tub, fab BBQ and bar/ seating area. House is equipped with all the utensils etc you may need. Host was very helpful and welcoming, she left toys out for our babies.
This only matters if you have children, but one of the bedrooms is connected to the lounge by stairs. This means that there is no sound proofing if you are wanting to sit in the lounge and the children are asleep. There also isn't much to do locally without a car. But it is a short drive to Stonehaven, where there are activities.

Hosts very helpful lodge immaculate everything you need for a great stay the welcome pack was perfect would highly recommend a stay the outside with hot tub has had as much care and attention taken as the inside would definitely return

Hot tub, breakfast supplied on first morning, woodburning stove, accommodation
Wall or fence at front to protect from road (which was a quiet road but the cars that did pass did so at speed), conveniently placed steps for hot tub which would prevent health and safety issues (current steps are not placed conveniently and are seldom used - including by host)
