Situated in Chemainus, this lovely house for $182 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Welcome! Come experience the serenity of Chemainus on Vancouver Island. This cosy and bright space hosts 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, washer & dryer, full kitchen, dining room, living room with wood stove and tv, reading room, and a large covered patio. Enjoy sunsets and ocean views while barbecuing or lounging by the fire table. Our small family lives in the suite below and when not travelling ourselves, we love to host and meet people. The mini split heating system (white remote) in the living room is easy to use and is your main temperature control to keep you comfortable throughout your stay. We are perched above the “Great Trail” and within 2km of downtown Chemainus. You can drive to Victoria in 1 hr or to Nanaimo in 30 mins. There is comfortable parking for 3 vehicles, including a carport. Gardens and lawn provide a private, shaded space to enjoy the fresh air. Enjoy fresh herbs grown year long in the front garden! Ocean Room - bright oceanside room with great views, ensuite with shower, queen bed and mirrored closets. Mountain Room - this mountain side (Mt Brenton) room holds cozy twins beds with twin size mattresses that look out on large rhododendrons. Forest Room - this mountain side room has an elegant queen bed to complement the beautiful Dogwood and Cherry blossoms that it looks out on in Spring. Bathroom - a very spacious room with shower and tub, large mirror, hamper, toilet & sink. The entire suite, carport, gardens, and front lawn is for your use. Carport accesses the deck and house, with a house key in the lockbox at this entrance. For those of you who love a wood stove fire, we provide wood briquettes. Monthly rates available upon request from November to February

Nice clean and spacious property in quiet area. Host was friendly and available. Only tiny downside was ocean view is partially obstructed by garage but upside was huge patio/deck to relax in. Would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful place to stay---great hosts, great view, well-appointed and equipped house including bath and kitchen details. . .everything available for convenience and comfort! Loved it. Take in the nearby Pacific Raptor Centre for an extraordinary closeup with hawks, owls, falcons!

The property is just perfect for your family. Clean, comfortable beds, spacious, good wifi, carport for your vehicle, easy to follow check out instructions. The view from the deck is unmatched. Everything you need is there. Definitely recommend!

Our party of two couples enjoyed staying at this lovely, comfortable home in a quiet neighbourhood not far from the heart of Chemainus. It was spacious and well-equipped, and the hosts were very congenial. We enjoyed a day walking nearby trails (Askew Park, Wul'aam Park, Stocking Creek Trail) and another day exploring the town of Chemainus, including an evening at Chemainus Theatre. This home was a wonderful base for our North Cowichan getaway.

This was the perfect place to stay as a home base to tour the island. The home is spacious, comfortable and very clean. We spent most of our time on the upper deck eating meals and taking in the incredible view. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Carla was a wonderful and friendly host and very quick to respond to any request we had. We would not hesitate to stay here again.. Thank you Carla!

Carla & Kyle were great! The property was clean, lots of room, and plenty of essentials provided. The view from the deck was beautiful. It was very quiet too. The location was great only a few minutes drive to town or a really nice walk to town. Very clean! Beautiful view of water and mountains and the large deck was very enjoyable. Carla was an amazing host and made our stay very enjoyable! We look forward to staying again the next time we come out west!

We really enjoyed staying here. It was super quiet, very clean and comfortable. The location was great. It's very close to the centre of Chemainus, and only an hour to drive to Victoria for the day. We also did a day trip from Crofton to Saltspring Island. The Crofton ferry terminal is only 15 minutes away. There is more to do in Chemainus than we expected. Beautiful short hikes, lots of shopping to be done in town for art, candy and a great store that sold classic toys and records. If you're looking for a great family get away, I highly recommend this house as your "hub" to the Island. It fit our family of 4 generously. You could easily fit two families of 4 with the kids all sleeping in one room, or one or two in the living room. Thank you again!

This was our second stay at this property. It is a comfortable, spacious, well supplied, home away from home. The hosts are attentive, the house is well maintained, and the view is lovely. Location is very convenient for activities from Victoria to Parksville.

What a gem! Our family of six had the most amazing time staying at Kyle and Carla’s beautiful home! The first thing they did when we arrived was put our minds at ease about the noise (an inevitability with 4 kids!). The house was lovely with lots of room for our family. They even brought in an extra cot just in case we needed it! The location was perfect. A ten minute walk from the ocean and an eight minute drive from fuller lake. The view from the balcony was gorgeous and the breeze from the ocean kept the house comfortable, even with the unseasonably high temperatures. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much Kyle and Carla for your incredible hospitality!

Amazing home, all the amenities plus more, comfortable beds, and an incredible deck with a view. We also loved the walking paths close by and the beautiful town of Chemainus. Beautiful family home with a friendly family and wonderful view. We arrived just after dark to be treated to a spectacular moonrise. Great start to a peaceful long weekend. Close to trail walks and amenities. One of the best spots in Chemainus. Highly recommend staying here as a couple or a family, feels like a home from home.

A quiet getaway

A quiet getaway

A beautiful home with a gorgeous deck overlooking Chemanius with a view of the ocean in the skyline. Games, puzzles and blankets provided to make even cozier which was a nice touch. Our stay was with another family and we found we had all the room we required for privacy. The home has 3 bedrooms and each had beautiful linens and comfortable mattreses everyone slept so well. (We loved hearing all the crickets - that’s how quiet and relaxing it is). The two bathrooms made it ideal for everyone getting ready to get going in the morning or at night. Towels were big and fluffy! The owners were easy to get hold of if we chose to reach out and that added to peace of mind for any extra essentials we may have needed. The only drawback was that if you do want to get out of Chemanius (although you certainly don’t need to!) there’s a bit of driving to other attractions. It’s centrally located though so that part is a plus. We would recommend this home and location to our friends. We had a fabulous time!

We have nothing but the best to say about our stay at Carla & Kyle’s. The space is so inviting and we were made sure to feel like home. All details, even the tiniest, were taken care of before check in all the while being asked if we needed anything more. The view is wonderful, the accommodations cozy yet luxurious and a great location. 5 stars, would highly recommend. Would love to visit again soon :) Thank you again for everything!!
