Enjoyed Airlie, but Azure Sea Whitsunday fell short of expectations of a "resort"

The pool was nice , the parking space was fine, and the location is quite near the town - but you do need to drive as the hill climb back to the resort is quite difficult, especially in the heat

The room we had was not clean - we had to ask the receptionist to rectify and was told some story about a broken toilet that meant tradespeople were in the room, and so it was not re cleaned . The toilet had stains, the oven was filthy, and the kitchen cupboards were not clean . The story about the broken toilet was not believable given the toilet has water marks and quite a lot of dust behind the bowl -it did not look new at all . The poor reception lady was quite flustered, but did give us some beer and cider and crackers as a bit of a gesture . Still disappointing for the price.

Amazing apartment, great location and stunning views.

Superb apartment - all the facilities we could want within and the communal gym that we used. Apartment was immaculately clean and had stunning views across to the Whitsundays. Wish we could have stayed for longer!

As notified, and expected, the pool was starting its annual empty and repair. However we managed to use it on its last day ‘in action’ before draining. So this only partly affected our morning of leaving due to the noise of the tile removal. This work runs for most of August in 2023.

I loved the unit and the colour scheme it was just gorgeous. Amazing views.

We had the most beautiful unit, and we did want to leave. The view was amazing, and the two pools allowed for us to have space from others if needed.

Disappointing, we do not recommend staying here.

Where do I start? We booked & paid for a 2 bedroom apartment but management decided that as there were 2 of us that they would lock access to the 2nd bedroom & we could use just the one bedroom which is rude & probably illegal. The apartment was filthy, our feet were black from walking around barefoot inside the apartment. Very unpleasant smell in the apartment, I think it may have been from the dusty fake plants. A raft of other issues mostly to do with cleanliness. I wrote a respectful email to management to provide constructive feedback & have received no response. Clearly they don’t care!

Superb location and quiet as it is on the hill just off the main street. The apartment was very spacious, well appointed and very clean. Brilliant view out to the Whitsundays. Would have stayed longer if our itinerary allowed.

My expectations were met

The apartment was very clean with a great view over the coral sea. the apartment was very spacious with large bedroom, bathroom etc. a bonus was the gym and 2 x pools and just a short walk to the shops, beach, attractions.

smokers in the unit below smoking on the balcony, which meant we could not sit outside and enjoy the view. A marquee and party in the pool which meant our children did not feel comfortable going into the pool.

Very good

The weather was perfect, the apartment was a good size, a home away from home. The unit was in a great part of the building, near the gym and pool ,carpark.

The pool was in need of a bit of maintenance. The bleach smell was a bit overpowering at first, glass, mirrors bathrooms could have done with a good scrub. It is a big job for the few staff on hand.

A fairly ordinary accommodation which is outdated.

Close to town but quite a hike up the hill.

Self contained with cheap, useless cooking utensils. Very minimal dish liquid which was watered down, washing powder was old & couldn’t open washing machine lid. No plug for sink, washers needed changing, tap in ensuite sprayed water everywhere & main toilet jammed on flush constantly. Garbage smell throughout from refuse.

Gorgeous well appointed apartment with great private and communal facilities. We spent each evening enjoying the pools. Fantastic view and excellent central location. Staff were very accomodating. We hope to stay again

Wish we could stay longer!!

Gorgeous views from our apt 18! Well decorated, super cosy apt and everything we need was provided. The bed was ultra comfy & bedroom has full view of the surrounding scenery. We love the big balcony too ..& yes, wifi signal was excellent!
