The Guest House is in the heart of the Art House area and is very convenient and quiet.
It has a shared kitchen area, one toilet, bath sink and shower/bath room. My room was on the second floor and was approximately 11’x 9’ with futon, small tv, fan and AC unit. AC was appreciated since humidity and heat was high. Local bus stop is nearby to take one to the museums or you can rent bikes or walk.
As a 65 year old, navigating the steep stairs to the second floor was a challenge but manageable while the kitchen and bath areas were downstairs. Also my room was at the top of the stairs with a small shoji window panel in the door. Therefore my room allowed light in from the stairs and I could hear other guests going up and down the stairs. A solid door would have helped block light and minimize noise but guests were all very considerate who I really didn’t see until checking out. There are rooms downstairs.

Excellent location, small Japanese house near the Art House Project locations. The room was spacious and clean. Basic, but good beds. Was able to check in early and leave my luggage so I could explore the Island.

They let us leave the luggage before the check in. spacious rooms, with AC. I appreciated some nice snacks for a small fee.
Location is not the best since it is on the other side of the island from the main port. But you can take a bus. Very dirty and old bathroom and toilett. This needs to be repaired. Floors have holes in them. Stairs are really steep. Not the best value for money honestly.
