Loved the traditional feel of the property. Equipped very well with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay.
We are ok with the traditional sleeping style of ‘on the floor’ , but I feel the mattresses provided were quite very thin. We’ve stayed in traditional Japanese style bedrooms before but the mattresses were a lot thinker for a more comfortable sleep.

Traditional Japanese house,
the heater, air took sometime to get comfortable

having a door code was great. the house was cool and an old style Japanese home. I liked being able to wash my clothes.
the location was not good for our needs during this trip. We liked having a parking space but the roads to the home were so small and tiny. sometimes it took me 15 minutes of driving around to find roads big enough to drive down. there are spots so small that are unavoidable. I damaged my rental car trying to get the the location and it caused a big head ache. Even if i did not rent a car i doubt a taxi would drive there and it is only close to the golden temple and nothing else. so you would be using the bus system which might not be a problem for most. sorry the location was not good for us.
