Met some very interesting people there. It's quite a place for people who live long-term in Da Nang but who do not wish to rent an apartment. Every day you see something different. Most affordable dorm in Da Nang. Close to the beach too which is excellent for beach lovers.
Room cleanliness and the common area furnishings could be maintained better haha. Also, it feels like the women guests do not really have a common place to hang out in as the space is often occupied by many of us men which might make them uncomfortable.

I tried to check in at 3pm and had to wait 20 minutes with deafening construction work outside - not their fault on the works but not being able to get to the room was headache inducing
Fans in the room really weak so very hot at night
Had to find staff to ask for a sheet to be put on my bed

As mentioned above, a) 500 meters from an award winning beach, b) the most budget-friendly in all of DaNang and even all of HoiAn, both places I’ve enjoyed over years. On a related note, while chilling on the Mekong in Laos, I met a man riding a bicycle who stopped and asked if I seen the person he described. Long story short, we had coffee, compared travel notes and — no kidding — this Filipino/Laotian engineer enthusiastic told me he has stayed at a place in DaNang called “Starfish Alley” about five years ago.
Nothing I didn’t like. When I checked in it was rather late at night. Yet the manager in duty got up out of his chair, and gave me a tour of the facility as if I were somebody. The experience transformed my view and from that moment I felt respected and valued as a customer.

The staff/owner is not always in the property. So if you check out you better tell them ahead. She posted that she will be back at 8am and I waited since 6am. She did not come back until I left at 8:30. That was certainly unprofessional and odd considering it is a hostel, it should have a 24 hr front desk to cater the clients’ needs.
The place is a bit dirty, and the staff is not always around. They did not provide towels as well.
