We drove along the short, unsealed road wondering what awaited us,... Well, we opened the door to a beautifully appointed unit and that view. It was a gorgeous, sunny day and the sea sparkled. We spent the next 7 days walking the beach, swimming in the turquoise waters of the protected sea pools (no surfing at this beach), reading, playing guitar and eating. We loved the direct beach access, the outdoor shower and the privacy - you can keep with the curtains and windows open (and the wire door closed!) and enjoy the sights and the sounds of the ocean day and night. We recommend taking a snorkel and if you're into scuba diving, we saw some people doing that too. The beach is popular with dog owners as it's an off lead area, but it is so remote and quiet that there were very few other people on the beach. If you book here, plan to spend some time just enjoying the location. It really is magnificent.
The drinking water in the zone isn't great so you might like to buy your own. It tends to change the taste of any water-based drink but, it's drinkable. Go into town for coffee - there's a generous supply of places that do amazing coffee (and food). It's a 30 minute walk, a five minute drive and a 10-15 minute bike-ride depending on your fitness.

amazing location and right on the beach
cleaning wasn’t to my standard. dirty cups and cutlery were in the cupboards at our arrival. we had to wash all dishes before we could cook something. carpet had large stains on it

Location, king size bed.Excellent heater. Turn table with some lps!
Hand basin drain blocked, 2 shower pump bottles empty, both tvs had issues, one power unplugged and one aerial unpluggled. Down light hanging out above bath tub. Power to spa had been turned off at power box.Took a while to work that out.
Tap Water was terrible , strong chlorine? taste. Could do with air freshner in bathroom. Also could do with a mat at entrance from beach side. So overall attention to detail between guests could improve.

The WOW factor when you opened the front door and realised that you were staying in exceptional accommodation with the ocean in your backyard. With the ocean so close by, it was perfect for Bonnie my 14yo Labrador and I could take her to a very calm area for a swim less than 3 minutes walk away. Amazing walks on the beach for myself, beautiful sunsets and each villa is very private from each other. Highly recommended if you are after a special place.
The internet access is poor because of the remote location however that isn't really a bad thing as it makes you enjoy what you have around you.

No breakfast included
Lights missing, hot water system broke down and we couldn’t shower one morning. Couldn’t read the electric blinds switches- starting to look old and tired.

Beautiful outlook from the bedroom and lounge area, we could lie in the very comfortable bed and watch the waves, and the sunset, it was absolutely stunning! Very private even though there were units either side and it was down a private road right on the beachfront so it was very quiet. There was a sitting area on the sea side but also a sheltered area with BBQ/table & chairs on the other side of the villa so we could catch the sun morning and night. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Port Fairy.
The only downside was that the lighting was poor, some light bulbs were missing, and the ones that worked were quite dim. And it took a few minutes to work out that the blinds were electric as the panel on the wall was illegible and so not immediately recognisable as being a blind controller!
