Location near to Edinburgh on the train for the Fringe & Tattoo
Unusual decor

Needed more basics like:
salt & pepper
Washing machine pods
Rubber gloves or a long handled washing up brush because water was so hot
Needs a dishwasher if 6 people were staying

Lovely size rooms and spotlessly clean. Great to have access to the main house gardens. Amazingly close to the sea.
Sadly our arrival was unexpected so no key was in the lock box.

The cottage is lovely, set in the grounds of Cockenzie house. You can see the sea from your door, it is across a small road and through some memorial gardens - less than 2 minutes away
Nothing although the cottage is surrounded by trees so in the shade until later afternoon this may make it feel cooler but there are electric fires plenty of duvets and throws should you feel a little chilly ( we didn’t)

The location was great. Parking was easy and accessible. Big main bedroom and bed was comfortable. Living room was large and comfortable with access to a small private patio area.
Horrible Fusty smell throughout the flat. Windows were painted shut so couldn't get any air through.
Too much furniture - a large floor-standing unit in the shower room was unnecessary and made the small room even smaller. One too many sofas and too many chairs at the dining table. Weird low painted cupboard in the corner of the main bedroom could go too.
Shower room could do with a good clean.
