The hotel is very nice, located in a historical building on the main square of São Filipe. It is very charming, it has a small but nice swimming pool. The location is ideal at walking distance from all attractions including bars and restaurants.
We stayed there in August and it was terribly hot and humid. The room we stayed had a small air conditioner but it was not enough to cool down the room which made our stay not so comfortable, which was a pity because, as I stated above, the hotel is very nice. You would have this problem only if you good in summer which anyway I strongly recommend not to because São Filipe is really not enjoyable with such hot and humid weather.

Idéalement placé, une belle maison coloniale avec une belle piscine.
Malgré le charme colonial de la maison Il faudrait revoir certains aspects de la présentation et de la finition des chambres .

Beautiful restored colonial house, tasteful decorations and good breakfast.
A male member of staff used a key to enter my room uninvited at midnight. It was reported to the owners and an upsetting experience, the first as an experienced traveller. I feel the owners could have done more… offered a late checkout, meal, room compensation to make you feel more like a valued customer who had suffered an incident in a hotel where you should feel safe as a solo traveller.
