Location
I was quoted $186.30 per room x 2 = $372.60 but was charged $470.07.
I am now having trouble getting a reply to my query from Blueys re the discrepancy.

Blueys was in the Main Street and easy walking distance to shops and beaches. Our room was modern and clean, amenities plentiful and wifi worked a treat. Staff were great from time of booking in to time of leaving.
Everything was fantastic!

In many ways Bluey’s motel is a lovely place to stay, located several miles down a quiet road in the Myall Lake area and only 250m from the deserted and wide sandy Bluey’s beach where powerful surf crashes into the shore. Opposite the motel is a small row of shops including a friendly supermarket, a bakery, a pizzeria and a pharmacy. The motel has a small pool and a jacuzzi at the front with areas to sit. Our room was a good size with a comfortable 5-foot double bed, a fridge, a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet, a balcony overlooking the street and a microwave oven and toaster. Crockery and cutlery were provided and the room had a hair dryer and a wardrobe for hanging clothes. There were plenty of plug sockets and complimentary tea and coffee sachets. However, the wi-fi never worked at all. And there was nobody in reception to talk to about this. Worse still, there was a 12 hour power outage on the day we stayed (February 17th 2026) so all the shops were closed and it was the same for the restaurant. (We had been warned about this by the owner, and it was caused by external factors outside of the motel’s control) We never met the owner – reception - was deserted in the mornings and evenings. By far the worst of all was that we were never told that behind the motel was a massive construction site with big cranes and diggers creating new holiday homes. The diggers started at 7 am and seemed to go on all day. This really affected the whole ambience of the motel and had we been told about it we would not have booked. Do look at the pictures I took and decide for yourselves. We stayed in February 2026 and personally I would avoid this motel until at least mid-2027 when the construction should be complete.
