Beautiful setting amid glorious countryside.
The staff at the hotel organised wine tasting at a local winery, Regina Viarum.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant, Dona Branca.
The hotel also booked a boat trip through the Sil Canyon the next morning.
Spectacular.
Particular mention must go to Miguel of the reception team, he looked after us wonderfully.
Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in our room.

Spain is a stunning country filled with incredible sights, yet Sober might not be the first destination that comes to mind. However, this hidden gem offers a remarkable experience that deserves your attention. If you're looking to escape the city's chaos and step back in time to a more tranquil era, consider exploring serene landscapes where you can stroll through picturesque grounds, rent a bike for a leisurely ride to a nearby town, ride a catamaran through the beautiful Ribeira Sacra or visit a winery. The hotel is stunning, offering outstanding service that truly enhances the experience. The breakfast selection is impressive and absolutely delicious, making for a delightful start to the day.
Everything was great.

The location and rooms were great, and the staff were very nice and friendly.
The breakfast eggs and other cooked food were very overcooked and were never replaced. As well, the staff were pretty slow in clearing plates and cleaning tables ready for more guests. However, the potato fritatta was delicious!
The fact that the hotel restaurant is not open on Sunday/Monday nights was really inconvenient in a small town. They were very accommodating in sorting out a cheese and meat platter for us the first night as they had initially booked us in for dinner. As well, there is no bar/coffee facility. It was suggested that we could order drinks over the phone if we required them and sit wherever we wanted but it was really hard to find a staff member to get service.

The building structure.
Breakfast was under standard. "Reception" on arrival very unpersonal and short. And most of all the price of 260 euro per night, breakfast in. I do not know who ripped me, the hotel or booking.com. I checked the prices for this hotel and the median was 130. I am pissed.
