About this condo rental
Located in Carolina, this attractive condo for $179 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. El Capitan is located in the center of the Isla Verde tourist area, which is within less than 10 minutes from the airport. It fronts directly on the Isla Verde beach and is on the 14th floor, with a fantastic view overlooking the pool, beach and ocean. You can literally go from your airplane to El Capitan, change and be on the beach in less than 20 minutes! The building has direct access to the beach, plus it features a full-size 25-meter fresh-water swimming pool and lounging area. This is another fine property brought to you by The Marco Polo Collection, a collection of fine vacation rental properties! You will be in excellent hands with our professional staff, with many years of experience, drawn from Puerto Rico, the U.S. and Europe. A great number of restaurants, offering anything from local foods to pizzas to sushi and steak houses, and several major casinos are, are within 300 yards, which is easy walking distance. The largest local car rental company, which usually has the best deals on the island, is right across the street, as is a bank and Walgreens, which is open 24/7. Two supermarkets (also open 24/7) are also close by. Within walking distance to the unit you can find anything from restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy, casinos and hotels. The bus stop right out front of the building has buses that go all the way to Old San Juan, so a car-less vacation is definitely feasible. In case you decide to rent a car, there is a car rental company right in front of the unit and an underground parking space is provided for our guests. Pets - not allowed Smoking - not allowed

We loved having a condo on the beach for our stay in PR. Home away from home. We were welcomed with a few staple food items that were so appreciated due to the fact that we landed at 9pm. We were able to forgo a grocery run until the next day based on the items they had waiting for us. Everything is as pictured and clean. We enjoyed our stay. A little noisy when windy (often) as the wind seems to howl through the patio door and right through the hallway door as well. They had beach supplies and bathroom supplies all stocked and ready for use. Thank you!

Overall it was a nice space but needed updating. Kitchen was well equipped. Lighting during the day was great but at night it was very dim and difficult to see. The bed is at the top of two 10" steps. I would caution anyone w/ knee, hip or balance issues to NOT stay here. We used towels and pillows to help us see the steps when getting off the bed.
The beach chairs were very much appreciated.
Also, do NOT rent from Charlie's Car rental, whom the Marco Polo corp recommends. Although they were very efficient they crudely paint over previous damage. So make sure to take pics when you rent and then when you turn your car into the rental. Charlie's will ask where you are staying...DO NOT TELL THEM! Better to pay the extra $$ and rent from a reputable car rental.
We used our plastic/rubber cups as we were unable to find a vacuum or dust pan. Had we broken anything we would have been unable to clean up the glass.

Location is great, the view is amazing but underneath lies TROUBLE!!! My fiancé and I both were bitten by begs bugs DAY 1!! We assumed it was misquotes bites boy were we wrong!! Day 2 was even worse they ate get back up all was down to her buttocks and legs… That ruined the entire trip, spending an entire day at doctor, then being too paranoid to sleep on any furniture so we bunked up with a cousin the remainder of our trip.. Wasted time and money and no one from upper management has issued an apology, reimbursement, or anything of the sort! They stopped communicating with me as soon as I reached out about my problems.. Please be aware!!! My advice don’t stay here!!!

The condo was excellent except for the bed which was raised up two steps on a platform with no handrails. Never saw anything like it. The lock box was difficult to operate.

Rental Management - From the time we booked the property the communication by the rental office was very clear and check in process was very smooth and easy to follow. They were always ready to help and answer any questions.
Overall a wonderful experience and we would love to come back to the same place again in our next visit to PR.

This was the perfect location for our family of four. Location was very convenient. Communication with the owner was perfect, no concerns. The condo itself is not fancy, but this was not a high priority for us. This met all of our needs and we had a fantastic experience.
