This stylish hotel at Prins Hendrik square, features 33 rooms in three late 19th century buildings, joined, interiors refurbished to modern standards, respecting the original architecture and style elements, including stained glass windows. Our spacious room and bathroom with full size bath was well air-conditioned. SEBEL is situated at a very well laid out circular square, a small park with a fountain in its centre, where on certain weekdays a small open air market features different speciality food trucks selling the most delicious kinds of seafood, including herring (Hollandse Nieuwe), freshly toasted nuts, salty snacks, and one offering a great variety of Cheese, including biological types. This square is central to a number of streets mixed residential and full of businesses, sublime quality Turkish bakery (open 4:30am>11:00pm, OOPS!), supermarket, fashion, bicycle shop, hairdresser, and dozens of restaurants and bistro's of all kinds on the square as well as in its side-streets, different price-levels serving a wide variety of food from different kitchens, inside, or on the lively café and restaurant terraces bordering the square. Public transportation, tramway right in front.
Reception is open only limited hours, staffed by inexperienced student-type staff, not always fluent in Dutch, or English. No breakfast area, just a ground floor reading lounging area, unstaffed featuring a sophisticated coffee machine for free of charge Espresso, Cappuccino, or the like. Late arrivals, after 8 pm, need to follow instructions given by e-mail or WhatApp. Parking arrangement with a local Parking garage costs €25 per day, can be paid when making reservation, or per night on site.A simple elevator helps you getting to the different floors, avoiding dragging luggage up the narrow stairs.

Good value for money is what is an expensive city. Well connected on tram routes with large number of restaurants and shops nearby. Wifi was good. Morning coffee available
My room was on top floor with some very steep stairs typical of Dutch houses.

My room was really beautiful. One of the staff mentioned it was their favourite room. A bath! Lovely view! spacious!
Communication - I thought was poor. Strange online checkin system that requires you to sign up or have an account ... I didn't do that, then when I showed up the reception is locked with no-one there ... (at the normal 3pm check in time) - I rang them ... someone came after a bit and let me in.... Seemed strange to me.
