My favourite hotel in the Netherlands, definitely the reason to return to Doetinchem. Highly recommend to everyone.

The location is quite central and the villa is beautiful. Amazing place for a wedding venue or getaway, super cozy environment and awesome breakfast.
The staff was very young and inexperienced, resulting in not so clean room and lack of knowledge about the property and surroundings. Also the bed was very uncomfortable, I had back pains the whole stay.

Excellence in service from the staff, providing me with accommodation alternative. The bed was comfortable and table for working too. The kitchen is wel equipped and wifi excellent. The restaurant and terrace are wonderful with lots of options including plant-based. Location is green and lush and nearby shops and parking is nearby. A chair to sit outside on the deck would make it even better.
The outdoor lighting stays on very late, which is not ideal for sleeping - or wildlife, a timer and movement sensor would be better.

Reception was very helpful. The terrace was nice and comfortable. The shower was nice, though the shower knob was missing. The restaurant "Lokaal" was an adventure I really enjoyed. A wine list with glasses of wine rather than bottles would have been more appreciated.
The stairs are nice to look at, but awful to climb when you're a senior. The elevator was very....very... slow while you had to keep the button impressed all the way up and down. A "see-through" bathroom walled by glass dominates the room. Possibly attractive for newly weds, but it affects the privacy of the individual enormously.
The parquet was loose next to the bed and made a lot of noise while stepping in and out.
No storage for coats and jackets, etc.etc.
