About this house rental

Located in Lake Burton, this attractive house for $675 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This historic home was built in 1928 from lumber milled on the property and is a wonderful place to enjoy the cool clear waters of Lake Burton. The four bedroom, three bathroom home is on a flat lot and has one of the best views on the lake with beautiful sunset views. Three bedrooms are on the main level and a fourth bedroom is upstairs. The master bedroom has a king size bed with an attached bathroom. On the other side of the house are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds and these bedrooms share a bathroom. The family bedroom upstairs has a queen bed and four twin beds with an attached bathroom. Outside you will find an old-fashioned tree swing, two hammocks, and a fire pit. There is room for a rousing game of volleyball or badminton. The flat lot leads to the lake which has a shallow entrance which quickly deepens for great swimming or floating on rafts. Play in the water or take the two kayaks or the canoe out into Murray Cove. There is seating on the dock or above the boathouse to watch over those in or on the water. If you would like to swing on the porch swing and listen to the sound of a screen door shutting, this house is for you. You can drink from old fashioned aluminum glasses, play ping pong, make home made ice cream and cook on the grill. You can end your day at the fire pit roasting marshmallows, listening to the gentle waves calm down and watching for the lightning bugs to come out. Let us help you enjoy this lovely setting.

We loved this charming lake house! The set up was great for 3 generations and the lakefront was beautiful. The kids loved the trampoline in the lake and the adults enjoyed the canoe and kayaks. Will be back next year.

This house on the lake is a treasure. So happy we were able to enjoy it for 3 nights, but should have stayed at least 4.

A model lake vacation. Interesting property/lot, great boathouse, comfortable house. We loved relaxing on the home's back porch or up top on the boathouse. Extra bonus that the firepit was beautifully set for s'mores. Nice to be on the east side of Lake Burton, such that the trip to Clayton for groceries is only ~20min each way.

Our family included youngsters 2,3,4 & 6 had a wonderful time at this cottage. One of best level grass lots on Lake Burton, allowed us parents to relax on back porch and let the kiddos make memories. Pictures don’t do it justice. Home is stocked with EVERYTHING needed. Hosts are wonderful. Can’t wait to return!

Wonderful host. Great location. The cove is quiet and the view spectacular. The charm of this 1928 cottage is amazing. The host are attentive and friendly. Feels like you are staying in a friends home. The tea towel gift that was hand embroidered was a special touch. I’d give this 6 stars if I could!

The lake cottage is well stocked inside and in the boat house. There are puzzles, tubes for floating in the lake, life jackets, games, s’mores sticks, towels, etc. The one item not there is shampoo/conditioner so make sure to pack your own. The cove is very private with great views and having a large yard is a bonus for families with children. The owners are fantastic communicators and keep great care of the cottage and the property. We look forward to staying again and have already recommended this home to friends!

We had a wonderful stay at this property on Lake Burton with incredible lake views! The property is exactly as described and pictured. The living area is very large and spacious. There is gracious plenty dining space and plenty of pots, pans, and dishes for cooking. The dock is wonderful with kayaks for use. The fire pit outside was wonderful and the hosts even left fire wood for us. We used the side grilling porch almost every night! Our entire group loved this place and we will be back!
