Wir waren über Ostern zum ersten Mal im Hotel Ritzlernhof und werden sicher wieder kommen. Das familiär geführte Hotel (adults only) lässt in punkto Ausstattung keine Wünsche offen. Der Wellness Bereich ist nagelneu mit Außensauna, Dampfbad sowie Innen- und Aussenpool (im Sommer). Die Zimmer sind ebenfalls neu und im alpinen Style eingerichtet. Wer mag freut sich über Grander Wasser im ganzen Haus aus einer eigenen Quelle. Die Lage am Beginn des Ötztals ist ideal für wandern (Sommer wie Winter) und im Sommer zum Fahrrad fahren. Wir hatten HP gebucht und haben dort an den vier Tagen kulinarische Highlights erlebt. Das Karfreitags Vorspeisenbuffett ließ KEINE Wünsche offen, es gab Austern, Kaviar, Sushi....auch an den anderen Tagen war das Essen ausgezeichnet. Zwischen 15 und 17 uhr gibt es sogar eine Nachmittagsjause. Allein das Essen wäre schon ein Grund wieder zu kommen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und immer ansprechbar und auch das Personal ist freundlich und entgegenkommend. Wir können das Hotel und die HP wärmstens empfehlen.

Spa facilities were nice. Breakfast buffet very good, nice options for free afternoon snacks (cakes, soup, salads, cold cuts, cheese, bread, fruit).
Dinner choices decent, nothing to write home about (Wienerschnitzel staple, available every night, was delicious).
For a 4-star hotel, it didn’t meet expectations on several levels:
Room and hallway had a consistent funky smell (kitchen exhaust, boiled cabbage).
No hotel info, do not disturb sign, iron in room. For example, cleaning staff entered our room because they didn’t hear us ask them to wait.
Front desk staff (Julius) was friendly, however we were completely ignored by head service staff and management. More than once in our 3-day stay we waited 20 minutes for drink orders for dinner, even then we had to flag them down. Same story at breakfast for any additional orders outside the buffet. Head service staff spent her time chatting loudly with certain tables and ignored all other guests. Further staff seemed friendly, but very inexperienced. Management constantly floated around chatting with same certain guests as head of service, not once came to say hello or ask how other guests’ stays were (not just us).
The hotel seems very short on (good) staff: for example in the spa area there was no staff on duty to refill lotion bottles (empty over two days) or to equip the second resting area with cushions for their loungers (only one lounger had cushions), no area to leave used towels or cups/glasses.
Hotel decor was very random with Buddha statues, beachcomber shabby chique, “inspirational”quotes, flea market items, etc. scattered all over.
Cleaning staff left patio doors in our room wide open while we were gone all day on our first day there.
