Tranquil and a real working farm, and David, the farmer, is so welcoming. Monte das Fais is a heaven of relaxation. The food here is excellent. You need to book for dinner- a four course meal showcasing the best of Alentejo food. Wonderful desserts made by Maria.
It is a little bit out from Grandola, a 10 minute drive, but that is not long

The owner was wonderful, giving history and current state of the cork farm, The hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was exceptional with eggs made to order and received warm off the skillet. The serenity of the rural site was just what we needed to relax. Just a short drive into town for restaurants and walking the streets. Highly recommend the cork farm hotel for anyone looking for respite.
Couldn't identify any downsides.

Ok but not anything special
The Towers were very very old and need uegentlig to be changed. The water in the bathrooms doesn’t run enough. The water in the shower didn’t run out till next morning.
