This is one of those places that I would definitely visit again. Check in was very efficient, but staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. The room was perfect. The view from the balcony was perfect. The aircon was perfect. Breakfast was great with incredible staff and a view of the beach. Life entertainment during dinner was great. And when I was not having dinner in the restaraunt, room service delivery was superfast. Ordering room service with the resort app was also great (and perfect for introverts ;-) ). Even though this was 'n large resort, it never felt crowded. (Full disclosure - I visited during the slightly more off-season period, late August, so some visitors might be discouraged by the rainy season.) Check out was easy and fast.
Leaving. I did not like leaving this paradise.

The pools are nice, you can see the ocean from the pool. It’s lovely. The staff are very friendly (most of them), we had a problem with an odor in our room and housekeeping took it very serious. They came back few times to check and also placed a dehumidifier in the room. Overall, we would not come back to khao lak, but if you go, La Flora is the best choice for the area.
There are parts of the hotel where the maintenance is lacking. It doesn’t look as polished as on the photos. Also, there are signs all around the hotel that any wrongdoing will be fined.. this was bit strange for me. It instantly creates an atmosphere of distrust which is not very relaxing. There are a lot of German tourists who don’t seem to have any interest in Thai culture or cuisine.
