The building itself and room layout is a notable point of distinction from other hotels. The room was large and clean and the rooftop bar provides excellent views of Cologne with a nice selection of drinks.
The staff were pleasant but I twice had to return to the front desk at check in as my card wasn’t appropriately activated.

The whole experience was good - the room, breakfast, the rooftop cafe bar. Very helpful staff. Secure parking on site. Good location within easy walking distance of the city centre. Overall a very good experience.

The room was exceptionally spacious, and the beautiful red-brick architecture in the reception area and throughout the first two floors gives the hotel a distinctive character. The conversion of the former industrial building is impressive, preserving its heritage while creating a comfortable environment.
The reception staff were courteous, although the arrival experience felt somewhat impersonal. During check-in, there appeared to be difficulties with the card system, which resulted in some waiting time and limited communication with guests.
The room was spacious and comfortable, although I found the bathroom quite small in comparison to the overall room size. The layout could perhaps make more efficient use of the available space.
My room was located on a lower floor and did not offer a view. A friend staying on the 8th floor had a similar experience, so guests looking for scenic views may wish to check room options in advance.
Breakfast is served in a large winter garden setting. While the space is pleasant and functional, it felt somewhat lacking in character. On a very positive note, both the quality of the food and the service at breakfast were excellent.
