The team there are all so friendly and helpful. We travelled with 2 cats and were given a ground floor room in the original block. Although older, everything was spotlessly clean. They provided two dog beds and our cats were happy to use one of them. We booked the hall board which is exceptionally good value. The food was lovely and the person serving us couldn't have been more helpful. It is in the centre of a small town, very close to the main square. It has underground parking, accessed from the street on the side of the hotel. There was an ev charger there, but we had just charged so didnt try it. Highly recommend, especially for people travelling with pets.

Location and public areas of the old building especially the inner patio courtyard. Underground car parking. Bathroom was clean and towels were huge and smelled fresh.
There were not enough staff - only one person on reception dealing with everything at check-in. No-one on duty at breakfast and breakfast selection poor. There were very few guests when we had breakfast which was lucky because it would have been dreadful if busy with only half a toaster working and the coffee machine out of milk. The Junior Suite was disappointing - a premium price for two dark rooms and an uncomfortable bed. The WiFi didn't work - not secure and weak. Unacceptable in a 4 star hotel.
