We liked a swimming pool that was quiet during much of the day.
There were groups of people staying that were working together so it was very cliquey. There was a bit of noise on an evening in the bar and our room overlooked the hotel pool where the noise emanated from. The breakfasts were pretty poor considering that the hotel had been taken over by Best Western.. There was a washroom by the cafe and it never had any hand soap in it. Most of the staff didn't seem to enjoy being there. They had a rule for swim hat wearing in the pool but nobody was seemingly told on arrival so it led to situations around the pool which could easily have been avoided. Staff knew little about using the public bus system into Rome from Tivoli. Very disappointing really.

Location, closeness to the sites
The slamming doors, terrible soundproofing, dirty terrace, needed to ask staff to clean tables & ashtrays while they were lounging/smoking
