The location is superb, in the heart of Kyoto, right next to the world heritage Nijo castle, very convenient. The house itself is amazing: the front wooden lattices, the elegant lamp on top front of the house, the round window, the smooth high quality wooden handrail, the sky window in the kitchen. Last but not least, the private Japanese garden is the highlight of this house. One morning, I saw birds coming and singing on the maple tree. Thank you so much. We had such a wonderful time here. Brand new, exquisitely designed, sparkling clean traditional Japanese style home in a central location. 1 min walk to Nijo Castle. Some very good small restaurants all around are very handy after a long day out. There were several thoughtful touches such as high-quality clear umbrellas for guests to use on a rainy day, informational material and maps of things to do while in Kyoto, plenty of high-quality towels. The futon beds were super comfortable. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place.
