Great location close to train station in the central area next to main street, convinient for local and regional public transport. Easy communication and easy check in The building is a palace is very clean and wonderfull and the common areas decorated in palace style. Room and toilet were average but cleen and functional and had small fridge which surprisingly worked very well even the small freezer. We were upgraded to a room with big terrace with nice small table with 2 chairs as well as 2 sun loungers. The building has very very small and very slow elevator which however is convinient for luggage, but for people can be very claustrofobic and suffocating due to the heat and humidity it would be nice if it gets installed ventilation and airconditioning.
The sun lougers on the terrace were very dirty with sand and dust looked like they have never been cleaned so not very useful they need to be regularly cleaned and maintained.
Also for the breakfast it was dissappointing only 2 sweet pastries and 1 boiled egg just like that with nothing else from the nearby bakery. We asked for salty option there was no possibility or you can pay under explanation that sweet is tradition in south italy although nice aritsanal pastries were served and were an added value but if you offer breakfast one has to have salty and healty options and must understand that majority of people foreign tourists dont eat so much sweet for breakfast and some people might have health issues with sweet. We spent this summer in many other smaller accomodations in south Italy in Puglia and Calabria and there were always salty breakfast options althoug somewhere very modest but sufficient and existing. I mean who came up with idea to serve 1 boiled egg 😃
