Great location but is too expensive for the room

Great location.

The room (14) is looking so tired, especially the en-suite Over priced £170 for 1 night! Needs more vegetarian options in the menu

Awful hotel and very miserable staff

Made the best of what we had

Well positioned great outlook, Food very good. Some staff very helpful, while others didn’t seem to know what they were doing.

Building looked very tired in need of a good clean! Creaking floor boards upstairs and on stairs, carpets dirty. Car park to small.

Nice place to stay in a lovely City

The room didn’t have a wardrobe to store our clothes. Wifi connection was really poor. In the shower, the temperature of the water was not uniform so be prepared to some extra cold moments.

Expected more for the price

Location excellent. Staff very helpful. Beer excellent.

Room very small and a bit dated. Only one person had view of the TV. Bathroom door hit the bed.

Would I stay here again? For sure! Highlight is the location, the authentic pub feel and breakfast!

What a cute gorgeous old pub. Location couldn’t be any better as it’s right in the central strip on the waters edge. Our room had all you could need for an overnight stay and also included a huge breakfast! Bathroom was tight but exactly what you know old pubs are going to be. Everything was clean and neat. Little cookies with your tea station in the room were a lovely touch. No air conditioning but the fan was welcome cooling. We had dinner at the hotel and I’d recommend. I really enjoyed my risotto! Perfect stay, just I imagined a rustic pub to be. Was great that they had provided parking with the room in such a busy town.

A toilet brush in the bathroom would be great! Lol The staff were lovely and kind but not overly enthusiastic and in no rush. Sometimes a conversation they were having might take precedence over serving customers.

We will be back!

Lovely room, very clean and tidy, prime location with parking. Room facing rover and had a lovely outdoor front garden area for meals and drinks again facing the river. All staff friendly and helpful. Claire and Ricardo were helpful, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Restayrant food and breakfasts are delicious too 😊

Enjoyed our stay, 2 nights was enough!

Good breakfast, plenty of choice.

The hotel requires a major facelift. Carpets are old and worn, floorboards creak when walked on. The whole place needs decorating.

Expensive price for room. Poor service, room not cleaned.

Breakfast good but crockery not washed properly. location very good

Poor maintenance of room, room not entered by staff after first night, bed not made, shower gel almost run out, tea and coffee not topped up. Had a drink in bar but had no brandy glasses, served in water glass, very poor

Fantastic location , an old building with lots of history . Friendly staff . Good breakfast .

Our room was next to the kitchen flume which was very noisy . This flume was also Cleasby and repaired during our stay . Workmen were working noisily till two o clock in the morning ruining or sleep.

I've stayed before and knew what to expect. I wasn't disappointed albeit the property is worth spend

Excellent breakfast. Wonderful location. On-site parking a real bonus. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderful location and outlook

Hotel is tired and would warrant a little more TLC. Sash window wouldn't sstay up and developed a cricked neck since the TV refused to stay in a horizontal position and the maintenance man never materialised when the problem was reported!!

room was very small and nothing like advertised despite paying for an upgrade. carpets well worn and bathroom in need to an upgrade

We like the hotel

We were put in a room but not in the hotel it was small room the bathroom was very small no room to dry yourself. No draws to put clothes in the wardrobe was small. There was a piece of the ceiling that run the head of the bed not good
