⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful surprise!
the B&B itself was part of our Bruges experience
We booked this B&B very last minute, the night before our stay, and honestly, we hadn’t even had time to properly read everything about it. What a lovely surprise it turned out to be!
From the very first moment, the hospitality from this family was exceptional. We accidentally parked on the road where we shouldn’t have, and the owner immediately came out to help us. He showed us where to park and even accompanied my partner to the parking, while his wife welcomed me, explained everything we needed to know about Bruges, suggested places to visit and offered us a drink. We immediately felt genuinely welcomed.
Our room was cosy and artsyr. The B&B is tucked away in a lovely, almost hidden spot. It really felt like staying somewhere with a sense of place rather than just staying in a hotel.
And then there was breakfast… absolutely fantastic! It was included in the price and was honestly better than many breakfasts we’ve had in much more expensive hotels. Fresh bakery items, pressed orange juice, beautifully prepared runny eggs, good-quality fruit, plenty of organic products, dairy options and vegetarian alternatives. Everything felt fresh and carefully chosen.
The little touches made the stay even more special. I mentioned that my jacket had become very creased in my suitcase and the lady kindly offered to iron it for me. Such a simple thing, but it says a lot about the level of care and hospitality here.
We also had access to the private hammam, which was such a wonderful and relaxing experience before bed. For us, this was a real highlight and something we honestly wouldn’t expect to find even in many hotels costing twice as much and we are a well travel coupled.
The location is fantastic too, only around a five-minute walk from the Markt and the heart of Bruges.
