The breakfast was really good, much more than I expected. The location was perfect, right in the historic district.
Guests should know there is no elevator, and the staircase is steep and windy.

Our stay at Hotel Boterhuis was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made us feel more like guests in a family home than visitors at a hotel.
The hotel itself is elegant, charming, and full of character, perfectly reflecting the beauty and atmosphere of Bruges. We stayed in a quadruple room, which was remarkably spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. It provided plenty of room for our family to relax and enjoy our stay.
One of the highlights was the breakfast. The selection was outstanding, with fresh and delicious options that rival those of many five-star hotels. Every morning felt like a special occasion, and it was the perfect way to start a day of exploring the city.
The location could not be better. Situated in the heart of Bruges, the hotel is within walking distance of the city's main attractions, charming canals, historic buildings, restaurants, and shops.
Hotel Boterhuis combines the warmth of a family-run establishment with the quality and attention to detail of a luxury hotel. The cleanliness, comfort, elegant atmosphere, and exceptional service made our stay unforgettable. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bruges.
The only minor drawback during our stay was that the hotel does not have an elevator. Our room was located on the third floor, and carrying heavy luggage up the stairs was a bit challenging. However, this was a small inconvenience compared to the overall excellent experience. The hotel's charm, outstanding staff, spacious room, exceptional breakfast, and perfect location more than made up for it.

Location, size of bed
Noisy due to internal wooden stairs & heavy doors and the noise echos and people speaking echos around the hotel. Bread for breakfast was the thinnest I’ve ever had so, when toasted, it was too crispy. Would be easy to have medium sliced bread instead of thin sliced.
