The people who work there are very friendly. I accidentally booked a mixed room, instead of female only and when I realised and told them that I wouldn't feel safe staying in a room with men (there weren't any women-only rooms available anymore), the Irish girl at reception made an exception and let me stay in a room where long-term people stay. Thank you for that!!
The showers could be better. The water is warm, but I dont like the shower head. It's a rain shower, but that means everything gets wet, and you can't take a shower without getting your hair wet.
A little bit less of a party hostel compared to Mom's, but I still feel like it's a big group of (French) people that stay there that mostly/only connect with each other. But then again, is there really a place in Australia where that's not the case?

Great location, and facilities were clean-ish.
We booked a private room and my god did it stink. We were hit with a wave of BO smell as soon as we walked in the room, and even with the aircon, windows, we tried everything - we couldn't get rid of the smell for our entire stay. Was pretty horrid if I'm honest. The hallways and common areas were pretty filthy but given the amount of people staying there to be expected I guess.
