The bedding was nice and fresh. The room was clean but very dusty, probably due to being on the main road
Breakfast was good
Hotels decor is very tired, the stair carpet needs a clean, painted over light switches

I had the full English breakfast and it was excellent. There were other choices to try. The waitress Suzanne was polite, helpful and offered help with the menu. We tried the Tuesday pie night and I have to say that the steak pie was exceptional. Pastry light and the filling fantastic. My wife had the duck which she wasn't very happy with the way it had been cooked. The room was small, compact and the bed very comfortable.
The windows in the bedroom didn't open and so the room was steamed up in the morning.

Friendly attentive staff, excellent food options, simple room with everything you need for an overnight stay. Accommodation is above the restaurant/pub and it was nice to sit in the pub in the evening. Onsite parking. I would stay here again.
