I did not have the breakfast but my partner really enjoyed it on several occasions. The grounds and room were beautiful, relaxing and had stunning views. Unfortunately I was ill on arrival and an ambulance had to be called and I was taken to hospital. The help and care we received from the Filoxenia staff was absolutely wonderful. They phoned for taxis, checked up on us and gave us a lift when a taxi could not be found. They made a truly stressful situation the best it could possibly be. The relaxing beauty of the place made me feel so much better. Any discomfort I experienced in the room was due to my condition, not the room itself.
Probably nobody's fault, but there was confusion over the room I booked. In my initial email I said that we wanted to self-cater, and was told that the studios were self-catering. I therefore booked a studio. When we got in, we found the room (14) was not self-catering. However, staff immediately changed this to room 15 for us.
The only thing we found difficult was the use of radios and phones on the outside terrace by the people on either side of us. On one side they played endless YouTube videos at their outside table, on the other music and long phone calls with the other person on loudspeaker. We wonder whether a rule might be made to respectfully ask people not to use phones, radios etc in the shared outdoor areas. The silence of the garden is far preferable.

To be honest, it’s such a beautiful location with a great view and the pool & garden area with it’s trees and flowers was just perfect, but everything else was just poor.
I booked a triple room with kitchen. When we arrived they gave us a double room telling that it’s for two people. I went there with my dad, that’s why I booked a triple room. I paid the room, so I have to get the exact thing.
But even if the triple room was more expensive, it was just poor. There were likely to no facilities for the kitchen, the light was broken, the bathroom was just disgusting and smelled like drain. The air conditioner was very loud and leaky. So all in all our room was not comfortable.
