Luxury family hotel in the small village of Elati
Hotel Oreades Elati
I was looking for a hotel for an overnight stay halfway along the route from Zakynthos to Bulgaria. We came across Elati on the map. Not only because the name is similar to the city where I live in Israel, but also because there are interesting sights nearby - the Paleokaria waterfalls and the Arched Bridge of Pyli.
There we found this hotel, where the polite owner, Panos, postponed our stay at our request (which was very kind). Furthermore, we were absolutely thrilled that they provided us with an apartment for four and a jacuzzi for my husband's birthday (an upgrade).
Besides that, 2 bottles of wine were placed in our apartment for my husband's birthday.
They allowed us to use their private parking, and we were amazed by the magnificent garden and building. Upon entering the hotel, we were fascinated by its luxury, and also by the presence of an elevator - a real gem.
Last but not least, it was important that we experienced complete tranquility and a fantastic view of the mountain, the forest, and the village directly from our terrace.
The owner, Panos, was extremely polite and answered all my questions in detail - how to get to the attractions, how to drive back to Bulgaria, where to refuel, and more.
I learned from Panos that the hotel is mostly visited by Greek tourists in the winter, but I highly recommend it to tourists from all over the world year-round. You will be mesmerized by the beautiful nature, the mountains, and, of course, by the conditions of the luxury Hotel Oreades in Elati.
(+) Breakfast was a buffet with a very rich menu - eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, croissants, various sweet pastries and cakes, cereals, cornflakes, fresh juices, and coffee, most of which were homemade.
The polite girl from the reception was exceptionally kind while serving breakfast as well. And the owner's mother was involved everywhere, providing excellent service.
(+) Holidaymakers with children have been thought of - there is a wonderfully equipped children's playroom.
(+) The hotel's garden is beautifully arranged and maintained, with green grass, flowers, trees, and stone paths.
(-) We only stayed for one night. Unfortunately, we couldn't extend our stay.
Of course, we wish to return to your hotel again, but for a longer stay.
