We loved the intimacy of the property. The set up and the spacing between the cabins made for a lovely getaway. Exploring the island both on land and in the sea was fabulous.
The team were exceptional, from bar to dining to general all round service. Always smiling, always at the ready to provide you with service. We enjoyed the food and beverage offerings and the processes they had in place during service. Food came out timely and delicious.
The in room facilities were also top notch, toiletries, bed, setting - just perfect. Whatever it is you’re doing team Matamaoa, keep doing it. We look forward to visiting again soon!
Guests staying at the property were also lovely and welcoming and community minded too. So it made for an extra wonderful stay.
Nothing at all, it was everything we were looking for on a getaway to switch off from the everyday.

Everything - The staff at the resort, along with the water sports provider Purple Turtle, were all so helpful and friendly. Everybody went above and beyond to make for a really special 30th birthday for my Partner. It really is a slice of paradise! So luxurious!

The friendly staff are extremely accommodating and provide flawless service. The secluded location brings peace to your holiday, but never at a loss for things to do. There are so many tour options, and free activities for guests. The sense of culture makes this place unforgettable, with music at dinner, cooking and language lessons, fire shows and knife dances.

The food could have been better and the staff seemed a bit overworked. More staff are needed.
