Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of cooked and uncooked dishes. We had one of their amazing afternoon teas which was all home made and served in front of the fire which was very special. Nothing was too much trouble for Ian and Elaine. A bonus was the other lovely guests who it appeared were all regulars and we felt like we were all at a big house staying with friends. We would love to go back.
Didn't realise our room was not ensuite when booking and the bathroom was private but across the hall. However this was a small detail and it was clean and modern. The hotel closes over winter and I understand why as it was very cold even with the heating on. We were there in a storm however and Ian explained and did his best to warm the house up.

Absolutely first class - such welcoming hosts. It has a lovely cosy feel and is absolutely spotless. Our room was lovely, with the most luxurious bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely come back - cannot recommend highly enough.
Wifi was patchy, but a great excuse to switch off.

Everything. How spacious and beautiful the room was, the comfort and peace, the views, the delicious breakfast, the kind touches like providing a bed, bowl and treat for our dog. We were very impressed and hope to be back.
