Room is clean and size is good. Bathroom is nice as well. Bed is comfy, but short.
No trashbin, really hot room, radiator could not be adjusted. Sound isolation is really bad. Breakfast is not really good. There are bread which feels like it would be 5 days old, no toaster to "improve" them.

The location was great for us, and the staff very helpful when we enquired about transport to Rio electric. Loads of hot water for the shower and good heating to dry out our wet gear.
We were on the ground floor and it was very noisy. Both from the room above and other guests entering the building at night.

The room was spacious but partly because the beds are quite narrow.
I read the reviews complaining of noise but I didn’t experience this at all (perhaps because we were in the upper floor)
El Chalten is very expensive and this hostal is priced more or less reasonably.
I guess if you’re paying cheap you can expect cheap.
The beds are 80 cm wide, narrower than a standard single bed, and quite hard.
The breakfast was so stingy it was almost hilarious: one toasted baguette from previous day and sharing one butter and one creamcheese and some jam and slice of cheese between 2 people. There is more old factory bread but no toaster. I wanted to take a slice of cake from breakfast as a snack and the receptionist almost had a heart attack.
The Booking fotos have a kitchen but only the ‘Loft’ room has a kitchen. The other rooms do not, also no water cooker or any kind of kitchen equipment.
After 4 nights we extended our stay and moved into an apartment (Airbnb). I recommend anyone to do this from the start.
