Puri Cendana Resort Bali

I almost don't want to share how wonderful this place is so that it's available when I return next but I also want others to have this amazing experience. And to give them the credit they deserve. This little resort was so great that I ended up extending my stay. All of the staff - from reception, the restaurant, housekeeping, security and the spa - all took the time to learn my name and treated me so well. I was sad to leave. The location is exceptional. Everything is very cost friendly. The food was superb with so many choices. The massages at the spa were out of this world. The duplex star room (I had room D) was incredibly spacious with a lovely view. As a solo female traveller, I felt incredibly safe and cared for. They even come around in the evenings with lit mozzie coils. The huge king bed had a full mosquito net as well as spray by the bed but I had no issues with any even though I'm usually a good target for them. The friendly housekeeping staff did a fantastic job and were always very polite about entering the space if I was there, even when I was on the balcony. Nothing was too much trouble. One thing to note is that the duplex rooms are up a flight of external (undercover) stairs and then the room itself is two levels, with the bedroom up some rather steep stairs. If you have mobility issues, you may want to choose a ground floor room. Otherwise, they're easy enough to get used to.

Very hard to find fault. Personally I wasn't a fan of their coffee but there were plenty of other options. Upon returning home, I have realised that the mattress could probably have done with a soft topper for extra comfort but honestly, it was still perfectly fine.

Not my first time here , it’s tradition and since the upgrade to the pool and restaurant it’s freshened it up . Food is always good too . Staff always wonderful 🥰

Traditional with lots of garden , lovely new pool , rooms are big and spacious with beautiful new bathrooms

This is a smaller hotel - maybe 20 rooms. Our room was ground floor tucked at the back so it was very quiet and private. It was spacious and had a comfy bed with good pillows. The pool is medium sized with no shortage of pool beds. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant itself had an extensive menu. All the staff were amazing - all of them. Putu, Widya and restaurant staff were our morning highlight. We loved our stay. ❤️

Unfortunately with most hotels in Bali if yr room is ground floor you do hear the noises of yr upstairs neighbours. Can keep u up if it’s their big night out. But overall we didn’t let it bother us.

The pool was lovely but not enough umbrellas.

The stairs to the bedroom were difficult. The bathroom was downstairs and badly in need of renovation. The towels were grey. The telephone didn’t work and the aircon was only upstairs
